Meet the Team - Ellery ADU Studio Rialto

Meet the Rialto Team Behind Ellery ADU Studio Rialto

Every ADU we’ve designed, permitted, and built in Rialto since 2015 has been touched by the same crew you’re about to meet. They don’t rotate out based on who’s cheapest that month. Nadia Ellery built this studio on the idea that the person who measures your garage slab is the same person who shows up for final inspection, and that continuity matters when you’re spending $80,000-$180,000 on a structure that has to last decades. Here’s who you’ll actually talk to, work with, and get calls from.

Our People

Nadia Ellery, Principal & Lead Designer

I’ve been running site walks in San Bernardino County since before the state standardized ADU height limits in 2020. I started Ellery ADU Studio after watching a homeowner in Fontana get handed three separate contracts for design, engineering, and build, with each vendor blaming the other when the foundation spec didn’t match the slab. That doesn’t happen here. I hold a California General Contractor license, and I sign every Haven Standard contract myself, under Clause 1, with the written price locked before we pull a permit. I keep a file of every soils report we’ve ordered in Rialto, and I will absolutely tell you when your neighbor’s 2019 garage conversion failed because they skipped it. Off-site, I restore mid-century pottery and have strong opinions about Rialto’s inconsistent alley access widths.

Marcus T., Senior Installer & Field Supervisor

Marcus has been on our crew since 2018, which means he’s sheathed walls in 108-degree Rialto July heat and installed windows in January rain that turned the trench into soup. He’s certified in James Hardie fiber-cement installation and has completed factory training with Abodu and Cover for their panelized wall systems. Marcus runs the Tuesday morning safety huddle and is the person who actually checks that your existing garage slab is 4 inches or 6 inches before we price the foundation line item, not after. He rebuilds vintage motorcycles and has been trying to convince Nadia that a motorcycle shed counts as an ADU for two years now.

Elena R., Service Coordinator & Permit Expediter

Elena came to us from the San Bernardino County Building & Safety division, where she processed residential permits for four years before deciding she’d rather help homeowners get them approved than send back correction notices. She knows which plan checker in Rancho Cucamonga flags electrical subpanel locations and which Rialto inspector wants to see the fire-rated drywall tag before the wall gets closed up. Elena coordinates every document handoff, from the initial site survey photos to the final Certificate of Occupancy, and she’s the live person who answers when you call (951) 476-1467 at 9 PM wondering if the Tuesday inspection got rescheduled. She grows tomatoes in raised beds behind her own unpermitted shed, which she will not discuss.

David K., Apprentice Installer & Utility Specialist

David joined us in 2023 after completing the construction technology program at Chaffey College. He’s currently working toward his C-36 Plumbing license and handles our sewer lateral inspections, gas line pressure tests, and electrical rough-in documentation. Nadia paired him with Marcus for his first six months because she wanted him to learn what a proper sill seal looks like before he ever touched a prefab module. David is the one who takes the documented photo record on every visit, uploads it to your project folder, and texts you the link before he leaves the property. He plays goalkeeper in a Rialto adult league and has torn his ACL twice, which he mentions whenever someone suggests rushing a concrete pour.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

We’re independently owned and operated in Rialto, not a satellite office taking orders from somewhere else. Every project we take on, whether it’s a garage conversion on North Linden Avenue or a new detached ADU in the south end near the 210, runs under the same Haven Standard clauses Nadia wrote in 2015. Written price before work starts. Documented photo record on every visit. No change orders that weren’t in the original scope. The 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing before we break ground.

That standard travels with the crew, not with a brand manual. When Marcus calls in a Tuff Shed spec discrepancy, Nadia picks up. When Elena hits a snag with Rialto’s fire department review on a Junior ADU, she doesn’t escalate to a regional manager; she walks the corrected plans over herself. We’ve completed 900+ ADUs across California since 2015, and every one of them has the same three documents in the file: the signed contract with the written price, the photo record folder, and the warranty card with the 365-day clause.

If you’ve already got a written estimate from another builder, we’ll give you a Free Second Opinion. We’ll tell you exactly what’s missing from the scope, what’s optimistic about the timeline, and whether the prefab brand they specified actually delivers to Rialto. No charge, no obligation, no “call for a quote” runaround.
